Instructor Suzan Wood brings over 30 years of experience, passion, commitment and delight to every class she teaches. Here she demonstrates Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana. In this posture the supporting leg must elongate to keep the hip from dipping. We stretch the inner leg muscles of the lifted leg and achieve balance by focussing the eyes on one spot (drishti) and distributing the weight evenly on the bottom of the foot. The body becomes flexible and strong with this pose, while improving balance and poise. Popular Flow Yoga Instructor Mara Branscombe brings her expertise to Bowen Island Yoga to teach Dynamic Flow.
